As always, thirds party reimbursement systems continue to change. Some of the changes are minor, while others change everything you previously knew. The Medicare change to PDPM and the challenges the State of Maryland’s Total Cost of Care System both fall into the significant change categories. Are you ready? In the past a facility could rely on its reputation to attract residents, but today it is all about data, and there is a lot of different data sources out there. One may make your facility look good, while others don’t paint as good a picture of your operation. Are you even aware of all these different reports and what they say about your facility? He was the Budget Administrator for the State of Maryland medical care programs and an Audit Supervisor with the State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
